Althea, a family-owned hotel situated on the beautiful island of Alonissos and with the Aegean’s blue waters in the background, seeks to combine warm traditional hospitality and luxurious accommodation, and aims to offer a peaceful retreat for unforgettable holidays. The hotel’s location, on the Old Town’s verdant hilltop, assures a unique experience. The business’s motto “Home away from home” set the tone for the branding approach. Our goal was to evoke the warm memory of childhood’s summertime at the countryside house, suggesting natural forms and earthy colors, while preserving a strong minimalistic line.

The logo design and the typography selected give the impression of a handwritten note between friends, while the organic shape of the business cards resemble the pebbles kids throw into the sea. White and grey with hints of black comprise the colors of the hotel premises so we stayed faithful to this palette throughout the brand’s identity development, and we applied the stylistic and graphic solutions to a collection of elements such as door hangers, welcome cards, stationery and key cards to represent the hotel’s personality.
