DOTS festival

Dots International Documentary Festival is a platform for short documentary storytelling, founded by three creators and inspired by multiple perspectives. Its visual identity centers on an eye formed by three dots: a symbol referencing different points of view and the ellipsis: stories unfold, continue, and invite viewers to pause and look closer. The design reflects the festival’s core values of observation, curiosity, and openness, giving space for narratives to exist without being overdefined.

For the festival’s first edition at PLYFA in Athens, we applied the complete visual system across digital, print, and spatial contexts. We designed the logo and animated logo for the website and projected it on the venue’s exterior. Posters, banners, stickers, wristbands, lanyards, accreditation badges, and the printed programme complete the system. Each element contributes to a cohesive experience, supporting the presence of films and the people behind them rather than competing with the stories.
