Dhyāna in Sanskrit means meditation. In the mother of all Indian languages, commonly used during religious ceremonies, dhi refers to the imaginative vision, and yāna to the procession towards one’s own interests. These ancient sounds, traced back to the distant past, strike a chord with humanity, being able to help soothe and pacify our innermost being. Dhyāna meditation studio’s branding process comprised designing the logo, the visual identity and the packaging of several brand’s assets such as scented candles and sticks. The logo, making reference to the seven chakras, embodies the sacred lotus which represents rebirth as well as the inner potential to harness the flow of energy. It incorporates symbols such as the circle and the inverted triangle which signify the awakening of the conscious mind and the channel to our higher self, respectively. A variety of symbols were also used to create numerous geometric patterns to decorate all sorts of marketing material. The color palette chosen was inspired by nightfall’s color gradation, using smooth transitions that radiate serenity and call for sinking oneself into something broader.
