FIGUREeight calendar of 2018 resulted from the creative cooperation between alati design creative studio and reDO, a Greek handmade bags’ brand crafting minimalistic and multifunctional modular designs able to accompany their owner from dawn till dusk. The calendar’s shape and structure was inspired by the characteristic wooden handle used on one of reDo’s most popular bags, forming a portable year-long agenda that can either pretty up one’s desk, be hung on the wall, or be effortlessly taken everywhere as its size and weight enables carriage. When unfolded, the calendar resembles number eight, and when the black pen is detached and placed beside it, number eighteen is revealed. The vertical lines engraved on the bracelet help one trace each month’s weekends easily. Besides assuming the creative direction in the product design process, we were assigned to design the logo as well as the packaging, which both serve the subtle, natural, and adaptive aesthetics of the brand.
